Neon Wand Use and Safety

KinkLab Neon Wand Electrosex Kit

Sub Rosa is happy to offer a Kinklab Neon Wand Electrosex Kit for rental as an add on to your rental of Sub Rosa. The Neon Wand creates a stimulating electric shock in the gap between the glowing glass electrode and the body. Using The Neon Wand can feel a bit daunting but following some simple rules can result in safe, stimulating play! We encourage you do do some research about the Neon Wand before arrival as we can’t promise the staff member welcoming you to the space will have experience with it as a top. If you would like to book a coaching session to learn more about elextro-play, check out our coaching page.

SET UP AND USE

  • Only plug in the Wand when it is set to “off,” and make sure the cord is not damaged or frayed.
  • Always make sure the Wand is set to “off” before changing the electrodes.
  • You can control the intensity with the dial on the wand, and by the choice of the four electrodes – the wider the distribution of energy, the less intense a shock is produced.
    • For example, using the whole Comb attachment is the least intense shock, but touching with just one corner of the Comb produces a concentrated, more intense sensation.
    • It is always a good idea to start at the lowest dial setting and work your way up while checking in with your partner.

SAFETY

  • For external use only. Do not use on or near genital openings.
  • Do not use the Neon Wand on anyone who has a cardiac pacemaker or other implanted medical device; has a history of heart disturbances; is pregnant; or has epilepsy.
  • Do not use the Wand around the the eyes; on broken or irritated skin; on inflamed joints; on metal piercings; or over the heart. For the safest play, only use below the neck.
  • Look out for and stay away from liquids, metal objects, and flammable materials when using the Wand.

CLEANING

  • Wipe down electrodes with an alcohol damped paper towel before and after using.
  • Use caution when changing attachments. They are fragile. There is a $20 fee to replace broken attachments.
