Kink and BDSM Classes in Portland and Online

IN PERSON EVENT
February 18th, 6pm-9pm
Sub Rosa Social
The monthly Sub Rosa Social (on 3rd Wednesdays) at Wayfinder Beer in SE Portland expands the opportunity for people to connect with the community created around Sub Rosa’s space and classes. It’s a munch! But we don’t like that word and think “social” sounds so much more fancy. So come join us at this purely social event (no kink play). This event is open to all, but our space is femme & femdom-led.
This is a free event! Wayfinder has a great food menu as well as lots of NA beverages, beer, wine, and cocktails (you pay for your drinks and food). Portland-style vanilla (or vanilla adjacent) attire is required – this is a public venue with children and strangers nearby. Please be respectful of the environment and the space.
The parking lot across the street from Wayfinder becomes conditional parking for the restaurant at 6pm so there should hopefully be plenty of parking. Wayfinder has accessible access with a ramp going up to the restaurant and inside to access lower seating levels as well. The Social is in the side room to the left when you enter.
Wayfinder Beer, 304 SE 2nd Ave

IN PERSON CLASS
February 21st, 6pm-9pm
Partners in Crime with Mistress Viola
Partners in Crime is a group coaching experience with Mistress Viola for couples who are eager to bring more kink, sexual empowerment, and BDSM exploration into their relationship.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to practice with their partner, with support in gaining confidence with hands-on exposure to BDSM toys and gear. Some examples of what Viola will demonstrate (with her submissive Scarlett Vixen as our gorgeous stunt butt/demo bottom) include impact toys, creative leather restraints/bondage, sensation toys, beginners’ electroplay, blindfolds, collars/leashes, etc.
This workshop is for duos only and each ticket is for two people. You can bring your spouse, play partner, or friend. All genders and presentations welcome. All dynamics welcome: femdoms, male doms, themdoms, switches, and curious explorers. Spots are limited to keep the workshop intimate.

IN PERSON CLASS
March 5th, 7pm-10pm
FemDom Bootcamp
Hosted by Natasha Strange & Viola Parker, this three-hour event is Sub Rosa’s longest running and most popular offering. We start with a discussion on consent and safety, and demonstrate how to safely practice and negotiate a scene, with the help of experienced Giving and receiving what WE really want. Then for the majority of the evening, we use the gorgeous space and gear at Sub Rosa for experiential practice and play with our demo bottoms, with support dommes circulating to teach techniques and give tips.
FemDom Bootcamps are geared to women and/or nonbinary folks at the early stages of exploring, seeking confidence, community, hands-on experience, and to further develop their dominant power. We encourage active participation in demos, however, learning by watching/voyeurism is always welcome.
This is a coached play party that focuses on learning, consent, negotiation, and practice in a femdom context. Please note, this is not an event for single men, submissive or dominant.

VIRTUAL CLASS
March 9th, 6pm-7:30pm (PST)
Come Correct
Natasha Strange & Viola Parker present a virtual mini charm school for people with submissive inclinations, who desire to meet and serve dominant femmes.
This online class focuses on coaching eager newbies on the fine art of kinky networking, both in-person and online. Viola and Natasha demystify kinky dating and negotiating with play partners, with a series of helpful tips and insight from their experience on the receiving end of submissive attention.
This class is open to anyone on either side of the slash, all genders and sexualities. We encourage participation from both femdoms and subs. There will be time for open discussion and questions.

VIRTUAL CLASS
March 19th, 6pm-7:30pm (PST)
Mindfuckery for Femmes with Princessa Natasha
Bondage and impact play are fun and all, but have you ever really fucked with someone’s mind? Join us online to learn how from The First Lady of Mindfucks herself, Princessa Natasha Strange.
Mindfuckery is the (not so) simple act of setting expectations, and purposely missing them. It’s smoke and mirrors. It’s subtle. It’s outrageous. It’s about leaving your submissive second-guessing themselves, while trusting YOU.
We will discuss living as a femme and society’s expectations, why the brain LOVES a good mindfuck, what to do when things go sideways (and they will), and more.
This virtual class is open to all genders but will primarily be aimed at tops and dominants who are femme or femme leaning.

RECORDED VIRTUAL CLASS
Always available

Accessibility
Community Discounts
Sub Rosa offers reduced-rate tickets to black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) as well as those experiencing financial hardship, for all our kink and BDSM classes in Portland and online. Email us at info@subrosapdx.com to request these ticket order codes. Full price tickets help allow us to offer these discounts. Joining our Patreon also supports our ability to offer community discounts.
Disability Access
There are some challenges to accessibility in our old industrial building. There is no passenger elevator, and stairs are required. The exterior steps have no handrail and the door is heavy. The interior stairs do have a handrail (around 25 steps required).
Please request assistance if you would like someone to meet you at the door. We apologize for this issue and recognize that the impact on people with disabilities is felt deeply in our community. If there are other accommodations we can make please reach out.
Events and classes can be ASL interpreted upon request. Please request interpretation at least 48 hours in advance in the notes section of your order and email us at info@subrosapdx.com.
COVID Safety
Masks are welcome but optional for events at Sub Rosa. We continually run an air purifier in the space. We do not require vaccination cards or COVID tests, but visiting educators may enact different policies.
FAQ
Do you have any more recorded classes for purchase?
Unfortunately it can be difficult to find a host for sex education accounts. Our account on Gum Road has mostly been suspended. We are seeking a new platform and hope to have more recorded classes available soon.
All ticket holders to our online classes have access to a recording of the class for 30 days.
Where is Sub Rosa located?
Ticket holders receive our SE Portland address 24 hours before a class/event.
Can I come to a class if I have no experience with BDSM?
Yes! Our goal is always to teach BDSM and kink in an approachable and inclusive way. Most of our classes are appropriate for beginners and the curious. We will note it in the description if a class is directed at experienced kinksters.
Who teaches your classes?
Mistress Viola and Princessa Natasha Strange teach together and individually. We also periodically work with guest educators to teach in person or online.
Can I teach a class at Sub Rosa?
We love our guest teachers but have limited capacity to work with guest educators, so we can’t say yes to everyone. If you’re interested in teaching with us, fill out this intake form.
Can anyone under 18 attend your classes or events?
No, all our in-person and virtual classes and events are for adults 18+ only.
How often do you announce new classes?
We always have something new in the works! Our classes run year round (online only the in the summer). The best way to stay informed about our classes and events is by joining our newsletter.
