Kink and BDSM Classes in Portland and Online

IN PERSON CLASS
January 8th, 7pm-10pm
FemDom Bootcamp
Hosted by Natasha Strange & Viola Parker, this three-hour event is Sub Rosa’s longest running and most popular offering. We start with a discussion on consent and safety, and demonstrate how to safely practice and negotiate a scene, with the help of experienced Giving and receiving what WE really want. Then for the majority of the evening, we use the gorgeous space and gear at Sub Rosa for experiential practice and play with our demo bottoms, with support dommes circulating to teach techniques and give tips.
FemDom Bootcamps are geared to women and/or nonbinary folks at the early stages of exploring, seeking confidence, community, hands-on experience, and to further develop their dominant power. We encourage active participation in demos, however, learning by watching/voyeurism is always welcome.
This is a coached play party that focuses on learning, consent, negotiation, and practice in a femdom context. Please note, this is not an event for single men, submissive or dominant.

IN PERSON EVENT
January 21st, 6pm-9pm
Sub Rosa Social
The monthly Sub Rosa Social (on 3rd Wednesdays) at Wayfinder Beer in SE Portland expands the opportunity for people to connect with the community created around Sub Rosa’s space and classes. It’s a munch! But we don’t like that word and think “social” sounds so much more fancy. So come join us at this purely social event (no kink play). This event is open to all, but our space is femme & femdom-led.
This is a free event! Wayfinder has a great food menu as well as lots of NA beverages, beer, wine, and cocktails (you pay for your drinks and food). Portland-style vanilla (or vanilla adjacent) attire is required – this is a public venue with children and strangers nearby. Please be respectful of the environment and the space.
The parking lot across the street from Wayfinder becomes conditional parking for the restaurant at 6pm so there should hopefully be plenty of parking. Wayfinder has accessible access with a ramp going up to the restaurant and inside to access lower seating levels as well. The Social is in the side room to the left when you enter.
Wayfinder Beer, 304 SE 2nd Ave

Make a Scene with Mistress Viola
Explore how to step into your power, plan and structure BDSM scenes, and build anticipation to melt your partner’s mind, in this online class with Sub Rosa co-owner Mistress Viola Parker.
New kinksters are often unsure how to plan and orchestrate a BDSM scene, what to do, what to say, and how to create epic experiences for both parties. After many years of fielding questions about the world of BDSM, Mistress Viola has put together this online class to answer many of your sexy, burning questions on topics covering safety, scenebuilding, and scene containers.
This class is for aspiring or experienced BDSM enthusiasts looking to expand their scene-building skills. The discussion will be aimed at switches, tops, and dominants seeking confidence and tips for creating scenes. All genders, sexualities, and experience levels are welcome.

VIRTUAL CLASS
February 3rd, 6pm-7:30pm
Service That Actually Serves US with Lee Harrington
Learn all about giving and receiving what WE really want in this online class with guest teacher Lee Harringon.
Are you sick of being asked to scrub the toilet as if your partner expects you to cum each time you do it for them? Does having your Submissive shave their balls three times a day actually help you live a full and fulfilling life?
Let’s get down and dirty – talking about and working through exercises on establishing what service we really want, what we are able to give, and what drives us in service from all sides.
Service is not just provided by submissive individuals – dominants will also get a chance to look at their desires and see what actually gets them what they desire. All experience levels welcome.

Disability Access
There are some challenges to accessibility in our old industrial building. There is no passenger elevator, and stairs are required. The exterior steps have no handrail and the door is heavy. The interior stairs do have a handrail (around 25 steps required).
Please request assistance if you would like someone to meet you at the door. We apologize for this issue and recognize that the impact on people with disabilities is felt deeply in our community. If there are other accommodations we can make please reach out.
Events and classes can be ASL interpreted upon request. Please request interpretation at least 48 hours in advance in the notes section of your order and email us at info@subrosapdx.com.
COVID Safety
Masks are welcome but optional for events at Sub Rosa. We continually run an air purifier in the space. We do not require vaccination cards or COVID tests, but visiting educators may enact different policies.
FAQ
Do you have any more recorded classes for purchase?
Unfortunately it can be difficult to find a host for sex education accounts. Our account on Gum Road has mostly been suspended. We are seeking a new platform and hope to have more recorded classes available soon.
All ticket holders to our online classes have access to a recording of the class for 30 days.
Where is Sub Rosa located?
Ticket holders receive our SE Portland address 24 hours before a class/event.
Can I come to a class if I have no experience with BDSM?
Yes! Our goal is always to teach BDSM and kink in an approachable and inclusive way. Most of our classes are appropriate for beginners and the curious. We will note it in the description if a class is directed at experienced kinksters.
Who teaches your classes?
Mistress Viola and Princessa Natasha Strange teach together and individually. We also periodically work with guest educators to teach in person or online.
